I am Carol P. Vaccariello, D.Min.
Yep. It is truly sacred work.
This ‘Bio’- comprised of three small snapshots of my life’s journey, inform how I found myself exploring QHHT with seekers much like you.
This way you will get to know me and QHHT at the same time. Enjoy the experience.
Dolores Cannon, founder of QHHT, wrote many books. The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth in 2011 spoke to me about who I am and why I am here – now an active Practitioner of QHHT.
I was born in 1945. In her book, Dolores explains the significance of the First Wave of Volunteers arriving in 1945 after the bombing of Hiroshima in August of that year. I don’t have space here – I know you will enjoy the information Dolores shares in that book. I have re-read it more times than I can count.
For our purposes of getting to know one another, I will share three snapshots of elements of the story of my becoming.
This process launched me into a new expression of spirituality. In the early 1980s I began my Doctoral Work at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.
Snapshot #1 Meeting My… Higher Self, Super Conscious
It was my first week-long Seminar entitled, Journey to Wholeness. I felt comfortable in this new environment. I had been a Roman Catholic Nun and learned a lot about Prayer and Meditation. Our Professor, John (Jack) Biersdorf, was introducing the class of Deep Ecumenical Spiritual Leaders from a wide variety of traditions to Meditative and Contemplative practices.
Jack was using Henri Nouwen’s approach to prayer by using a sacred image. One important teaching was to help everyone understand that this is not a practice of praying to an image. It is not IDOL worship. It is a practice of using an image as a window to the Holy. While focusing on the image, you use your intuitive sight to go passed the image, as if gazing through a window to an experience of the divine.
I admit, I was too sure of myself, due to my previous training. I realized that most of the other Spiritual Leaders in the room didn’t have the former prayer training that I had. I thought this would be easy. I thought ‘a piece of cake.’
This is what happened:

While I looked through the image of Christ’s face using Henri Nouwen’s method. I experienced a vision of the face of Christ transforming into a bestial mouth filled with fang-like teeth and coming straight at me.
Quickly, I opened my eyes, shaking my head, to get rid of the hideous image that felt like it was coming to devour, destroy me. I couldn’t keep my eyes shut. I felt this icon, this Christ, was angry with me.
I attempted again. This time replacing the Iconic historic image with a contemporary image of Jesus Laughing by artist Ralph Kozak…and one of my favorite paintings of Jesus.
No change. The vision repeated; bestial mouth filled with fang-like teeth, coming straight at me.
Jack was concerned about me. This was our first meeting. Since I was one of two students staying overnight at the seminary, he asked me to come home with him, to use the family guest room so that I wouldn’t be alone during this time of extraordinarily terrifying visions.
I refused to go. I had a deep need to understand what was happening. I had never experienced the Divine turning me away during attempted connection.
The other overnight student, Doug, promised Jack he would be there for me if the visions of bestiality continued.
Reluctantly, Jack left without me.
Doug, sat at the opposite end of the long double-wide classroom with a promise not to interfere, no matter what happened.
I attempted again. I held my ground. Grasping the arms of the chair, white knuckled as I went face to face with the Icon once more.

Amidst terrifying struggle, I met the Great Lion.
On my way to class, I saw Jack headed to his office. He saw me and inquired about how things went the previous evening.
I blurted out, “I MET A LION”
Jack simply commented, “ Oh, Aslan.”
Before I could respond, Jack was off to get his notes for class.
WHAT? ASLAN WHO???
Later, I learned about, ASLAN, the Great Lion. Aslan was CS Lewis’ main character and Christ Archetype in the Narnia Chronicles.
You ask, what does this forty-five year old personal episode have to do with QHHT ?
I am now a guide, who takes you, the seeker to meet your Higher Self – I met ASLAN, aka Ari’El, my higher self – I just didn’t have a name or a category for him at the time.
I knew he was and is very special. The very good news is that it doesn’t need to be a terrifying vision experience for you. I didn’t have a QHHT Guide. Aslan was teaching me through this experience. He brought me into awareness in this unique way, as often a nightmare can bring us to an understanding of a deep love that pursues us with a passion that feels all consuming.
In fact, my experience assisting clients in meeting their sacred Higher Self, the Super Conscious is a most awesome experience. It is unique for each person. In each session, I have had the honor and privilege to communicate with each Client’s Higher Self on the client’s behalf. And in every case the Higher Self wants the best for their person, the client and will assist in many ways to support them.
This is the goal of every QHHT session:
To meet your Higher Self, your Super Conscious, your Light-Self.
In order:
To receive answers to life’s deep questions.
To learn reasons for emotional, physical, psychic, spiritual illness.
To receive a full body scan and request healings as appropriate to your life contract.
Snapshot #2 Night Dreams, Waking Dreams, Shamanic Journeys …and AZTEK
When I decided to do my Doctoral Dissertation in DreamWork as a Spiritual Practice, I had no idea how this important information would serve me as I stepped into doing QHHT sessions.
I learned to work with Dreams and the symbolic language of dreams whether night dreams or awake active dreaming.
One morning as I was pondering dream symbols from the previous night’s dream, I met AZTEK.
He was a funny little Aztek man.
He wore a wide-brimmed black felt hat which had a colorful woven cloth hat-band about one and a half inches thick on the base of the top of the hat. The very top of his hat was tall and had been roughly cut away leaving the entire top open. There was a long wild turkey feather stuck in the hat-band. It stood straight up.
He wasn’t part of my night time dream.
He smiled at me through a toothless grin, emersed in dark skin that was crinkled and sun-cracked.
His hair was shiny deep blue black, long and straight, hanging from the inside of his flat-brimmed hat.
He was small, wearing blue jeans, a denim long sleeved shirt and cowboy boots.
I didn’t know who he was or what he was doing hanging out in my waking dream.
I was learning the technique of Active Dreaming – where The dreamer can share a conversation with a dream symbol.
I talked – He grinned.
Earlier that week, I had been diagnosed with an issue the doctors said required surgery.
A friend was leading a Shamanic Journey to the upper and lower worlds.
I wanted to explore the upper world. As I listened to the heartbeat on the drum, I found myself transported to the upper world. As soon as I arrived in the upper world, Aztek showed up and didn’t speak. He never spoke. He pointed to the ground, which in the upper world appears more like a cloud. Everything appeared to me as bright white, radiantly beautiful.
He was indicating that I should lay down.
I didn’t want to. I wanted to explore.
Using gestures only and no speech, he insisted that I take a place on the ground and lay down.
He crouched next to me holding a golden rope made of glowing light. He seemed perplexed, wasn’t sure how to go about whatever he was about to do. Finally, he seemed to figure it out. He took the golden light energy and started with my head – at the crown chakra. He fed the golden-light rope down through my crown chakra and all the way through the Chakra channel, finally through the root chakra and created a golden light loop from my Crown down through my body, out the Root and up on the outside of my body. The golden light circled up to join itself at my Crown and complete the continuous circle. It looks similar to the Toroidal Field of Chakral energy.
I had no idea what this was all about. Before I knew it, the drumming time was coming to a close and I was quickly brought back to current time and space.
In a couple of weeks I went for my final pre-op appointment, the doctor sat with me and seemed very perplexed. “I don’t understand. Today’s x-rays in preparation for your surgery, are not what we expected. The problem is that they don’t look anything like what we saw previously. There must have been some malfunction or something. I can’t explain this. There is simply no need for surgery!”
It was at that moment I understood what little Aztek was doing the night of the Shamanic Drumming Circle. He healed me!
I was healed and the surgery canceled.
All these years later, I realize that I experienced a healing body scan from what appeared to be a small Aztek Indian. Now I know this was one of the ways my Higher Self showed up to help me, before I had any idea of its existence.
Once again, I look back and know my Higher Self has been preparing me through personal experience to serve others in the ways that I experienced healing.
In QHHT – As your guide, I ask your Higher Self to do a body scan for you and let us know what they are doing . It continues to amaze me, even as it amazed me back then when it happened to me at the hands and energy of Aztek.
The person I am working with can feel the energy of the body scan their Higher Self is performing for them. Often the client describes healing as a tingling energy feeling at a specific place in the body… which is always accompanied by a soft smile of awareness of what is happening to them as their Super Conscious completes the Body scan.
Snapshot #3 Conscious Mind, moves over to Welcome Client’s Highest Power
In preparation for a QHHT session you are asked to write a list of 10-15 questions to ask your Higher Self. Often folks will ask deep, serious questions:
What is my purpose in life?
Am I doing what is expected of me?
Should I continue in this relationship?
Is it important to keep this job?
Should I move on?
How’s my health?
Is there anything I could do to improve?
When I work with a client – we spend a good three hours in a preparatory interview. I need to know them as well as possible because I speak in their stead during their encounter with their Higher Self.
Let me unpack that for you.
Several years ago, I was asked by a professional Psychologist, who is also a practicing Shaman, to assist him in helping a family that was reporting paranormal activity in their basement.
He suspected that what they were experiencing was possibly the benevolent soul of a person who lived and died in that house and never left.
I had no idea what I was saying ‘yes’ to when I agreed to assist. He arranged for the Mother of the household and me to join him at his office for a session.
He briefly explained how he intended my participation. I was to be an available ‘host’ for the Spirit who was showing up in the basement. Now the Shaman was beckoning that same spirit to our meeting with the beating of his drum..
As he began the drumbeat and asked if I was ready. I had no idea what to expect. Before I knew what happened, I moved my consciousness over and opened a way for the visiting Spirit to come in and borrow my ability to speak in order to answer questions from the Shaman. I simply listened and watched – in amazement!
We did it! It was an experience I will never forget. Now I understand that this unlikely experience was to allow me the first-hand knowledge of moving my conscious mind over to the side and allow another consciousness to use my voice for the purpose of spoken communication.
In that Shaman’s office, I knew my Higher Self was present and guiding me. I didn’t realize those many years ago that I would have this QHHT opportunity to assist clients in the amazing process of connection with their Higher Self, Super Conscious. Since I know the experience of my conscious mind moving over and how it feels, I can help clients move their conscious mind aside in order to allow their Higher Self to speak through them.
I ask the Client’s conscious mind to observe the process while on the sidelines, in preparation for helping the client to put all they learn into practice moving forward from the QHHT session. Once I have permission, I begin to ask the Client’s questions and wait to hear responses from their Higher Self through their own voice.
Of course, this is unlike my shamanic experience because I was asked to host a benevolent spirit that was not a part of me.
However, for the QHHT client, this is the primary goal of the session: to meet and begin a relationship that is like no other with this Sacred and Powerful part of themselves.
It is not an unknown spirit. It is the Higher part of themselves. It is the Divine Part that each of us shares.
So many of us don’t know our Higher Self and even more of us don’t have an ongoing connection and/or communication. A QHHT session is an amazing opportunity, to experience your Higher Self. The powerful, significant, sacred part of yourself..
